In modern industrial automation, encoder is a key loop of closed loop control. It mainly solves the following three problems:
Speed measurement: calculate the motor speed (RPM) by the number of pulses received per unit time. Used for motor speed regulation and conveyor speed control.
Measuring position: determine how far the mechanical parts have moved by accumulating the number of pulses or reading the absolute code. Applied to angle control of feed axis and robot joint of CNC machine tool.
Commutation and synchronization: judge the forward and reverse rotation of the motor through the phase difference of A/B phase pulse; Multi-axis linkage is realized through data synchronization of multiple encoders. Applied to printing machine (ensure accurate overprinting of all colors) and elevator (ensure accurate leveling).
