Core material characteristics
● Excellent toughness: high-speed steel is characterized by toughness, strong impact resistance and less brittleness than cemented carbide. This means that it is not susceptible to chipping or breaking when subjected to strong vibration or occasional shock.
● Good abrasion resistance: although its hardness will decrease at high temperature, it still maintains good abrasion resistance at normal cutting speed.
● Ease of sanding: HSS blades are relatively easy to regrind and repair after wear and do not require complex diamond grinding equipment.
