Function of induction coil
● Energy conversion center: After the coil is energized with high-frequency alternating current, it generates strong and high-frequency alternating magnetic field inside and around it. When the magnetic field passes through the pipe blank, according to the law of electromagnetic induction, eddy current with very high density will be induced on the surface of the pipe blank (especially the V-shaped opening edge), and the eddy current will quickly convert the electric energy into thermal energy due to the resistance effect.
● Heating mode controller: the shape, number of turns and relative position (lifting distance) of coil directly determine the magnetic field distribution, to accurately control the shape, width and temperature gradient of heating area, which is the key to realize local, fast and uniform heating.
● One of the decisive factors for welding quality: stable and symmetric magnetic field distribution is the premise to ensure uniform heating on both sides of the weld. Only when heated evenly can a solid, uniform and defect-free weld be formed under the action of the extrusion roller.
