An Impeder is an essential component for high-frequency (HF) induction welding in ERW pipe and tube production. It concentrates the magnetic flux generated by the induction coil onto the weld seam, significantly improving welding efficiency, heat concentration, and weld quality while reducing power consumption.
The core of the impeder consists of Mn-Zn ferrite rods (ferrite cores), which provide excellent magnetic permeability for high-frequency welding applications. The housing is manufactured from non-magnetic, high-temperature-resistant materials, including epoxy fiberglass tubes, high-temperature fiberglass tubes, or ceramic tubes, ensuring reliable performance under demanding operating conditions.
Each impeder is equipped with brass threaded fittings, allowing secure attachment to the pulling wire while providing an efficient water-cooling connection to prevent overheating during continuous production.
