Rectification and Filtration:Convert power frequency alternating current (e.g. 380V/50Hz) input from the grid into smooth direct current.
High-frequency inverter:Through high-speed switching devices such as IGBT or MOSFET, DC is chopped into frequency-adjustable high-frequency AC square wave (such as 100kHz - 800kHz) driven by PWM signal of control panel. This is the key to achieving "high frequency" welding.
Impedance Matching and Output:High-frequency, high-current energy suitable for welding is finally output by reducing the voltage, greatly increasing the current through a high-frequency transformer and matching the impedance of the subsequent load (induction coil).
In simple terms, the function of the power board of the high-frequency welder is "frequency conversion and amplification" - convert the common mains power into the high-frequency and large current required for welding. Its performance directly determines the output capacity, energy efficiency and process stability of the welding machine. It is one of the most expensive and technology-intensive parts of the whole equipment.
